How we extract Pantone color from image?

The image is actually using RGB based HEX colors, so to find the matching pantone color we have to do some work here.
The process of selecting the closest PANTONE spot color for any given HEX color involves a few steps: Convert the HEX color to the Lab color space. We are doing it by using a digital color conversion library. We use computer calculations to find the closest PANTONE color in terms of delta E distance in the LRV color space. Delta E is a measure of the difference between two colors, and the LRV color space is a commonly used color space for comparing colors. The PANTONE color that is closest in delta E distance is then selected as the closest match to the original HEX color.

This process can be reasonably accurate, especially when dealing with colors that are well-represented in the PANTONE color system. However, there are some limitations to this approach:
The PANTONE color system may not have an exact match for every possible color in the Lab color space, so in some cases, the closest available PANTONE color may not be an ideal match.
The accuracy of the color conversion and delta E calculation can depend on factors such as the quality of the image or the lighting conditions under which the color was captured.
While this approach can provide a good starting point for selecting a PANTONE color that is close to a given HEX color, it may still require some manual adjustment or tweaking to achieve an exact match, especially in cases where color accuracy is critical.
